Experience:

We are seeking a Senior Software Solution Designer with deep expertise in energy market operations, market management systems with proven ability to drive business growth and client engagement. The candidate will lead the design and architecture of complex software solutions that enable efficient, secure, and scalable energy market operations including market clearing, settlement, scheduling, trading and grid integration.

This role is ideal for someone who can bridge technical architecture and domain expertise in the energy market, collaborating closely with product teams, regulatory experts, and engineering to deliver high-impact market management platforms to grow software solutions and services businesses

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design end-to-end software solutions for energy market management, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, operational efficiency, and system scalability.
• Translate energy market processes (e.g., bidding, dispatch, settlement, balancing, forecasting) into robust functional and technical solution designs.
• Lead solution definition workshops, working with market operators, utilities, and internal stakeholders to define system behaviour and data flows.
• Develop and maintain solution blueprints, interface definitions, and integration strategies between market management, trading, and grid systems (EMS, SCADA, ETRM, etc.).
• Proficiency in solution architectures frameworks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, regulators, and technology partners to drive business growth.
• Identify new market opportunities for advanced energy market software solutions.
• Works towards revenue growth and own revenue targets through solution offerings and consulting services.

• Strong Understanding in

  Wholesale energy market structures, power trading, power procurement (e.g., Day-Ahead, Real-Time, Ancillary Services).
• Market clearing and settlement algorithms.
• Regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO/RTO markets, balancing markets, capacity markets)
• Designing solutions in cloud/ hyperscaler platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum

  10 years

  in software solutioning roles within the energy or electricity market domain.
• At least 35 years of functional experience in electricity market operations, trading, market risk or related areas.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
