Job Description

As a Test Automation Engineer at Mouser Electronics, your role involves designing, developing, and executing automated tests. You will be responsible for executing automation test scripts, managing defects in defect tracking tools, and closely following up on automation issues/defects until resolution. Additionally, you will perform regression testing and update test execution status as part of scheduled test status updates. It is crucial to understand and adhere to the mouse scripting standards and conduct peer reviews of automation test scripts. Key Responsibilities: - Work with the Development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs, Drivers, and other Development test objects. - Provide technical guidance to junior-level test engineers and/or test technicians. - Plan and implement automation test scripts in the deployment pipeline. - Ensure proper version control of all test objects developed. - Provide accurate estimates for assigned tasks and assist in preparing test plans, budgets, and schedules. - Hands-on experience in Agile projects. - Thorough understanding of SDLC, STLC, and bug life cycle. - Hands-on experience in Selenium and knowledge of Python or similar scripting language. - Experience in BDD framework and familiarity with its components. - Proficiency in Git and Git workflows. - Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, etc. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication etiquette. - Understanding of the UniVerse programming language and database is a plus.
