Description
As a Senior Lead Software Quality Engineer for Lightroom Android at Adobe, you will be part of the Digital Imaging team responsible for building a cutting-edge imaging service. Your primary role will involve developing a scalable and responsive mobile application on Android, providing photographers with powerful image editing and organizing tools. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with a team of passionate engineers to test strategic features critical to Adobe's growth. You will work closely with the Product Manager and team members to define roadmaps, scope, and work for releases. Operating within a fast-paced scrum team, you will adhere to standard methodologies for testing, profiling, and releasing high-quality software. This involves conducting functional and non-functional testing of new features under development, as well as owning the end-to-end process from requirements gathering and design to testing and release. A successful candidate will possess a BTech or MTech in Computer Science or equivalent, along with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on software testing experience, particularly in Mobile Application Testing. Strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, and proficiency in writing test plans and test management suites are essential. You should also have a good understanding of test methodologies such as functional, performance, and security testing. Furthermore, experience with bug reporting tools like JIRA, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and scripting abilities for automation are highly valued. Familiarity with Android Test frameworks like Appium, Espresso, Robotium, and UI Automator, as well as tools like Android Studio, git, Jenkins, jUnit, and gradle, will be advantageous in this role. In addition to technical skills, the role emphasizes constant improvement and customer engagement. You will be expected to collaborate with customers to identify issues, refine workflows based on feedback, and ensure high levels of app performance and reliability.
