Job Description

Role Overview: As a Software Developer and Automation Engineer at Cisco Meraki Wireless, you will be deeply motivated to deliver innovative solutions to business problems. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to design, implement, and qualify solutions for wireless infrastructure devices, impacting connectivity experiences for critical applications worldwide. Your role will involve working on the latest Wi-Fi access points and contributing to the automation and qualification of platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Review product requirements document and understand customer use cases. - Assist senior architects in designing software functional specifications. - Collaborate with senior development engineers to develop features and conduct early unit and integration tests. - Design test plans based on customer use cases and participate in quality and end-to-end QA testing. - Automate use cases using Python or Ruby. - Contribute to innovative software test initiatives. - Share knowledge through brown bags, tech talks, and promoting engineering standard methodologies. - Be accountable for product stability with a strong customer focus. Qualifications Required: - 2+ years of experience with a BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent. - Proficient in Python or Ruby scripting/automation. - Ability to write professional production code in C and C++. - Experience in core network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP). - Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration abilities. - Proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving. - Ability to multitask in dynamic environments. - Experience working with customers to debug and solve network problems.
