The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and managing comprehensive water resource management studies for mining projects, from conceptual design through to implementation and optimization. You will utilize advanced modeling and simulation tools to predict water-related risks and evaluate mitigation measures, enabling data-driven decision-making for clients. Additionally, you will evaluate mine tailings dam integrity, conduct hydrological studies, and analyze data along with input/output uncertainties. You will also be responsible for analyzing storms, undertaking hydraulic computations, and engaging in 1D/2D hydraulic simulation to estimate floods and assess risks, including the design and cost estimation for flood mitigation measures at mining sites. Leading the team in the design of water management infrastructure for mines, from feasibility studies to detailed civil engineering stages will also be a key aspect of the role. Furthermore, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers, contributing to their professional growth and knowledge sharing within the firm. Preparation of detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations for clients, showcasing project outcomes, findings, and recommendations will be part of your responsibilities. You will also execute project management tasks such as composing reports and proposals, interacting with clients, and offering guidance to staff members.
