The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance. Your Primary Responsibilities: Support development, QA, PSE, and Production environments using ServiceNow ticketing system. Review production performance reports for variances from normal operation. Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products. Software installation and patching. Database creation and configuration. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for DTCC critical production environments. Participate in root cause analysis for database issues. Supports database functions by designing and coding utilities. Prepare users by conducting training; providing information; and resolving problems. Recommending and implementing database backup, recovery, and redundancy strategies. Provide leadership and direction for the Architecture, Design, Maintenance and L1 and L2 Level Should have worked as an L2 and L3 Engineer or above in managing large-scale Oracle environments. Demonstrate strong performance Tuning and Optimization skills. Solid Experience in Database patching, database upgrade, OEM. Solid experience in oracle table partition, RMAN backup, Memory settings and database performance tuning. Possess solid understanding of operating systems (Unix / Linux), Shell scripting, Perl/Python scripting. Solid experience in managing High availability / High scalability DB clusters. Be able to handle tasks and projects independently with minimum guidance and directions. Solid experience in Backup and restore processes. Follow best practices on Change management / Incident management / Problem management. Good teammate and should have worked with diverse global teams. Demonstrated ability to solve complex systems and database environment issues. Demonstrated ability to work in a complex environment to determine business and customer needs and deliver the best solution needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years of related experience Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience Solid understanding of AWS cloud technologies Knowledge of ITIL, Processes would be an added advantage. Should be able to understand interlaying technologies like Networking, Applications, and its impact to Database Talents Needed for Success: Strong Oracle knowledge of 19c, 23ai. Working knowledge of Oracles Golden Gate Replication technology. Working knowledge of O/S and Disk Management, solid understanding with SQL. Hands on experience with Oracle RAC and OEM Grid Control/Cloud Control. Hands-on experience in python, Ansible and other scripting languages to automate the tasks. Ability to work with a high degree of latitude while adhering to established process and procedures. Good understanding in both how databases fit into systems and how application changes will influence database performance. Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
