Software Engineering Manager - Java Fullstack

As a Java Full Stack Architect & People Manager at Amdocs, you will play a crucial role in leading Java Modernization projects by leveraging your technical expertise and leadership skills. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the design and implementation of Java Full Stack solutions, encompassing Frontend, Backend, Batch processes, and interface Integrations for various business use cases. - Translating business requirements into technical architectures using Azure/AWS Cloud Platforms. - Managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of engineers, Leads, and Specialists to ensure high performance. - Driving the adoption of Databricks, Python, and Java-based frameworks within the solution development process. - Collaborating closely with product owners, data engineering teams, and customer IT & business stakeholders. - Ensuring high standards in code quality, system performance, and model governance. - Tracking industry trends, continuously improving the technology stack, and adopting newer trends to showcase productization, automation, and innovative ideas. - Overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle, including use case identification, PoC, MVP, production deployment, and support. - Defining and monitoring KPIs to measure team performance and project impact. Qualifications required for this role: - 13+ years of overall IT experience with a strong background in the Telecom domain. - Proven hands-on experience with Java Full Stack technologies and Cloud databases. - Strong understanding of Design Principles and patterns for distributed applications both On-Premises and On-Cloud. - Demonstrated experience in building and deploying on Azure or AWS using CI/CD practices. - Strong expertise in Java, Databases, Python, Kafka, and Linux Scripting. - In-depth understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, and data pipelines. - Solid people management experience including team building, mentoring, and performance reviews. - Strong analytical thinking and communication skills. - Ability to be hands-on with coding, reviews during development, and providing production support. Good to have skills for this role include familiarity with Databricks, PySpark, and Snowflake.
