Software Engineer (SAP Datasphere and BW)

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at UBS, you will have the exciting opportunity to design and build attractive digital products and services. You will play a key role in transforming the firm into an agile organization, helping to make it more responsive, adaptable, and innovative. Your primary focus will be on SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud, along with other related technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate outstanding knowledge in SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud - Utilize in-depth experience in SAP BW/BI 7.5 and HANA modeling for implementation and development projects - Independently write ABAP and SQL code - Work with visualization tools such as Power BI and SAC - Define implementation strategies leveraging best practices for the Datasphere landscape - Analyze requirements and develop optimal solutions - Provide technical assistance and support for existing system solutions - Constantly think about and implement continuous improvements in system performance and functionality - Develop software components following SDLC and Agile methodologies - Produce technical specifications and code of the highest standards - Apply standards, methods, and techniques as defined by SDLC - Lead a team of technical SMEs and ensure accountability for team deliveries Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - 10-13 years of overall experience with a minimum of 8 years in SAP BW/BI and HANA - Strong knowledge of SAP datasphere architecture and artifacts - Expertise in SAC modeling concepts and data transformation within SAP BW/BI - Proficiency in ABAP, query building, and reporting tools - Exposure to visualization tools like Power BI - Strong knowledge of financial business processes - Experience in SAP B4HANA, ABAP, or BW 7.5 is desirable - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and understand data needs - Known for hitting deadlines and staying within budget Additional Company Details: UBS is the world's largest and only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions in more than 50 countries.
