Software Engineer- Operational Support Systems

Role Overview: Embark on a transformative journey as a Software Engineer- Operational Support Systems at Barclays, where you'll spearhead the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You'll be part of the Network Assurance & AI Engineering team responsible for the design, build, and run of zero-touch operations, closed-loop auto-remediation, and AIOps capabilities for network assurance and observability of the Barclays Global Network. Your expertise in Java, Spring Ecosystem, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability will be crucial for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensure code scalability, maintainability, and optimization for performance. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and align with business objectives. - Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends. - Adhere to secure coding practices, implement effective unit testing, and ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in Java (Java 17+) and Spring Ecosystem with strong SQL and NoSQL integration expertise. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tooling such as Github Actions, Jenkins, Gitlab CI. - Expertise in monitoring and observability, logging/tracing, alerting, and integrations into opensource tooling like Grafana/ELK. - Demonstrable expertise in large-scale streaming pipeline-based RCA and remediation.
