Software Engineer - Java, Spring Boot & Angular - Frontend (JavaScript & Node.js

You will be part of Velsera, a company established in 2023 with a mission to revolutionize the pace of medicine. Velsera is focused on accelerating the discovery, development, and delivery of life-changing insights by offering software and professional services in AI-powered multimodal data harmonization and analytics for drug discovery and development, IVD development, validation, and regulatory approval, and clinical NGS interpretation, reporting, and adoption. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and Angular. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, deliver robust backend services, and create responsive frontend interfaces. Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code across the stack, integrating RESTful APIs, ensuring secure and high-performance application functionality, participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement efforts are essential aspects of the role. Additionally, you will be responsible for debugging issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing fixes promptly. Staying updated with emerging technologies and frameworks relevant to the Java and Angular ecosystem is crucial. To qualify for this position, you should possess strong hands-on experience in Java (8+), Spring Boot, and Angular (2+ or latest version), a good understanding of RESTful services, microservices architecture, and API integration, experience with databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB, familiarity with version control tools such as BitBucket or Git, and proficiency in build tools. Understanding software development best practices, including unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies is required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. In addition to technical skills, soft skills are also crucial for this role.
