Software Engineer - Java & IAM T500-16538

As part of Marriott Tech Accelerator within Marriott International, you will play a crucial role as a technical expert and developer. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, analysis, design, and development for next-generation data capabilities and products. You will be instrumental in setting technical standards and creating reusable frameworks to ensure the consistent and efficient development of microservice capabilities and products. Your main focus will be on researching emerging technologies to enhance future capabilities and finding solutions for complex technical challenges. You should possess a strong background in developing large-scale backend applications at an enterprise level for at least 3 years, along with technical delivery ownership of applications using Java/J2EE technology stack. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of experience in developing microservices using platforms like Play, Spring Boot, and ForgeRock, as well as managing microservice applications on AWS. A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, while a graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred. Additionally, technology certifications in Java, J2EE, experience with IAM products like ForgeRock, and proficiency in agile software methodologies are desirable. In this role, you will be expected to deliver technology solutions by performing complex quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery processes and projects. You will ensure the fulfillment of deliverables and obligations by Service Providers, validate requirements, coordinate with IT and vendor relations teams, and provide consultation for systems development. Your expertise will be crucial in anticipating future data platform opportunities and providing technology leadership in a sourced environment. Moreover, you will adhere to IT governance standards and processes, maintaining a balance between business and operational risk. Your ability to assess risks and escalate them when necessary will be essential. You will follow project management standards and collaborate with Application Delivery and Infrastructure teams for deployment and production support activities.
