Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility: As a Software Engineer III, your primary role will involve designing and developing high-quality software solutions as a key member of a motivated team of engineers, serving as a "Software Engineering" role on an Agile team. Responsibilities: - Design and develop high-quality software that meets requirements, promotes re-use of components, and enhances ease of support. - Identify and rectify system failures caused by software errors. - Implement process improvements in engineering practices. - Utilize software-based system maintenance and tracking tools. - Contribute technical content for technical documentation, user help materials, and customer training. - Conduct unit tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement changes to ensure adherence to test plans and requirements. - Analyze, design, and implement software mechanisms to enhance code stability, performance, and reusability. Lead code review sessions. - Provide accurate estimates of work efforts. - Utilize effective debugging and troubleshooting techniques to resolve software defects. - Develop comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, component test specifications, and integration test specifications. - Enhance test-driven development practices. - Learn and apply test methodologies, processes, procedures, standards, and tools used by the team. - Practice Agile development principles with Scrum. - Utilize and improve Agile tools used in development. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field. - 7+ years of experience in web development. - Strong understanding of software development and quality assurance best practices. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Ability to comprehend business and technical requirements. - Proficiency in documenting requirements through word documents and/or UML diagrams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. - Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google).
