Software Engineer III, Android, Choice Screens

Role Overview: As a software engineer at Google, you will play a crucial role in developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users worldwide. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that are critical to Google's needs and contribute to solving complex architectural challenges in high-scale back-end design. Your work will involve addressing a wide range of technical problems across various areas such as information retrieval, distributed computing, system design, networking, security, artificial intelligence, and more. Key Responsibilities: - Review code developed by other engineers, provide feedback to ensure best practices, and maintain style guidelines, code accuracy, testability, and efficiency. - Contribute to existing documentation and educational content, adapting it based on product/program updates and user feedback. - Triage product or system issues, debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality. - Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to make decisions on available technologies. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting. - 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting, and with Android application development. - Experience with Java, Android Apps, and the Client-Server Model. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. - 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging. - Experience developing accessible technologies. - Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering. - Experience with Kotlin, Compose, Java, and Android app development or platform. - Knowledge of Android UI frameworks with a passion for building cool user experiences.,
