This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 2 years Location: Mumbai JobType: full-time We are seeking a technically skilled and passionate DevOps Engineer to contribute to both development and operational aspects of the product infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for selecting, deploying, and managing tools and technologies to ensure a robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure. You should have hands-on experience in automating development workflows, building high-performance cloud-based systems, and resolving production and non-production issues efficiently. Requirements Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable infrastructure to support web, mobile, and big data applications on cloud platforms. Optimize performance across various SQL/NoSQL databases, application servers, web frameworks, caches, and distributed systems. Automate deployment and configuration processes across the entire software stack. Manage and support Linux-based servers hosting SaaS platforms on cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Establish processes to identify performance bottlenecks and scaling limitations. Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and uptime. Continuously explore and implement new tools to enhance development operations. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2–3 years of experience designing and maintaining high-volume, scalable microservices architectures in cloud environments. Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration and scripting with Python or Shell. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, ELB, S3, Auto-scaling, VPC, Lambda), GCP, or Azure. Familiarity with deployment automation and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, Chef, GitLab, and monitoring systems such as Zabbix, CloudWatch, or Nagios. Understanding of Java Virtual Machines, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Kafka, microservices, and caching mechanisms. Experience in enterprise application development, maintenance, and operations. Strong knowledge of best practices for building and maintaining highly available and resilient systems. Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
