Software Engineer (Cloud)

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer, Cloud at MicroStrategy, you will work within an agile development team and participate in the design, development, testing, and debugging of software components and products. Your role will involve actively contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle, including providing input on specifications, designs, development, implementation, test design, test implementation, optimization, and delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure solutions deployed to AWS, Azure, and GCP. Automation of infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes, monitoring and optimizing cloud resource performance, implementing security best practices, configuring and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, and documenting infrastructure architecture and operational procedures will be key aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Work within an agile development team and participate in software design, development, testing, and debugging - Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle - Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP - Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using tools like Terraform ARM or CloudFormation - Monitor and optimize cloud resource performance - Implement security best practices for cloud environments and ensure compliance with industry standards - Configure and maintain Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and microservices deployments - Document infrastructure architecture and operational procedures Qualifications Required: - Undergraduate degree in computer science or similar engineering program - 3-4 years of professional experience preferred; training and professional development will be provided - Functional knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP - Functional knowledge of Languages: Python, NodeJS, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, Spring; Infrastructure Automation: CloudFormation, Terraform, Jenkins; Container Technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio; Networking: Load Balancers, Security Groups, Network Access Control, VPN, VPC, TLS - Familiarity with NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and/or SOC2 a plus - Relevant certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect, Associate, AWS Developer, Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator, Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer, Developing Solutions for Azure, GCP Cloud Developer, Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate are desired but not required - Strong work ethic and willingness to work additional hours as needed - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with IT and non-IT colleagues - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work streams effectively Additional Information: The recruitment process includes online assessments as a first step (Logic, Hackerank) - they will be sent via email, so please also check your SPAM folder.,
