Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software applications that support caregivers worldwide. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and services. - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards. - Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including planning, development, and testing. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions. - Debug and resolve software defects, performance issues, and bugs. - Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing within the team. - Provide development support for client reported issues. - Continuously enhance technical skills by learning different technologies. - Contribute to process improvement initiatives for efficient and scalable development practices. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends in software engineering. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 2-4 years of proven experience in software development. - Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., MUMPS, C++, JavaScript). Preferably MUMPS/Cache technology or IRIS (Intersystem). - Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving techniques. - Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, MySQL, etc. - Knowledge of software testing methodologies and frameworks. - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Nice to Have: - Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs). - Familiarity with agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban. - Healthcare Domain Expertise.
