As an Engineering Manager for our Online Store platform, you will lead a dedicated team that develops secure, scalable, and impactful services supporting businesses worldwide. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and growing a high-performing engineering team by setting goals, mentoring developers, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. - Building and scaling resilient backend systems with a strong focus on frontend integration, automation, observability, security, and testing. - Collaborating cross-functionally with product, design, and data teams to bring ambitious ideas to life and deliver tangible customer value. - Crafting the tech roadmap by driving backend strategies, implementing scalable architecture, and exploring new technologies to stay ahead of the curve. Your experience should encompass: - Proven leadership skills, with over 1 year of experience managing engineering teams and 3+ years in a technical leadership role, spanning a total of 8+ years in development. - Strong technical expertise in Node.js, microservices, APIs, and full-stack development (React, Next.js). - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools. - Enthusiasm for challenges, whether it involves untangling legacy code or scaling a new service. - A team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills. Additionally, you may have experience with multiple tech stacks (e.g., Ruby, Go) and AI technologies, as well as familiarity with platform re-architecture or modernization efforts.
