Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced Middleware & Hypervisor Lead to architect and lead the development of virtualization and middleware platforms for automotive ECUs and domain controllers. The ideal candidate will drive system partitioning, secure execution environments, and service-oriented middleware integration across infotainment, ADAS, and vehicle control domains. The role involves designing, developing, and integrating middleware components and hypervisor solutions for next-generation automotive platforms, enabling seamless communication, system partitioning, and safe consolidation of applications across multiple domains. Roles & Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of hypervisor-based architectures for multi-domain automotive ECUs.Design, develop, and integrate middleware components (communication stacks, IPC, service frameworks) to enable cross-domain automotive applications.Implement and configure hypervisors (Type-1-Type-2) to support virtualization and multi-OS environments (e.g., AUTOSAR, Linux, Android, RTOS).Define and implement middleware frameworks for inter-process communication, service management, and diagnostics.Work on resource partitioning (CPU, memory, I-O) and ensure real-time performance in safety-critical systems.Develop APIs and service layers for efficient inter-process and inter-VM communication.Ensure compliance with automotive standards (AUTOSAR Adaptive, Classic, ISO 26262, POSIX, etc.).Collaborate with system architects and hardware teams to define system-level integration strategies.Debug and optimize system performance, latency, and throughput.Contribute to safety and security concepts (ASIL requirements, secure boot, secure partitioning). Skills:
Strong experience in Embedded Systems, Middleware, and Virtualization/Hypervisor technologies.Hands-on expertise with one or more hypervisors (e.g., QNX Hypervisor, Xen, AGL, Jailhouse, VMware ESXi, or proprietary automotive hypervisors).Knowledge of AUTOSAR Adaptive and Classic AUTOSAR BSW components.Proficiency in C/C++, POSIX APIs, Linux/RTOS kernel programming.Experience with virtualization concepts (scheduling, partitioning, device passthrough, inter-VM communication).Familiarity with diagnostics, logging (DLT), and middleware frameworks (DDS, SOME/IP, gRPC, IPC).Exposure to ISO 26262 Functional Safety and Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) concepts.Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills. Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes in embedded).Experience with GPU/accelerator virtualization.Exposure to cloud-connected vehicle platforms and OTA updates.Familiarity with test automation frameworks (pytest, Robot, CI/CD pipelines).Good problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
