Software Developer US Markets (Night Shift)

You will be joining a proprietary trading firm that is expanding into the US markets with a strong emphasis on technology and automation. The firm's systems are currently operational in Indian markets and are now being extended to global markets. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work at the foundational level of the US trading desk, where decisions are made swiftly, feedback is immediate, and the learning curve is steep. As a Software Developer on the US Markets team, you will collaborate closely with the team responsible for live US execution and infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will involve developing tools, automations, and systems necessary to support the expansion of trading operations into global markets. This role offers significant ownership, rapid learning opportunities, and the chance to work on genuine trading systems that handle real money. Your key responsibilities will include building and maintaining tools for trade monitoring, automation, and reporting during live US market hours. You will also contribute to the development of new execution and order management infrastructure for US markets, provide support to the US trading desk in real-time issue resolution, and work with global data APIs and multi-exchange data structures. Additionally, you will be expected to ensure system reliability during night operations, contribute to codebases that impact live trading performance, and create comprehensive documentation. To excel in this role, you should have at least 3 years of software development experience and be comfortable working in small, agile teams. You must be willing to work during US hours on a permanent basis and possess strong debugging skills, a scripting mindset, and a systematic approach to problem-solving. Effective communication is crucial, especially for night operations. Previous exposure to trading systems, market APIs, or experience with US financial instruments would be advantageous. The technologies you will be working with include Python, Git, Docker, REST APIs, WebSockets, PostgreSQL, Redis, Linux environments, cron jobs, and automation frameworks. Experience with Interactive Brokers, FIX API, or any US broker integration would be a bonus.
