Your Role And Responsibilities
A Software Developer for OpenShift AI on Z team is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud native applications. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Design and Develop Solutions: Design, code, debug, test, and deliver creative solutions to problems and requirements in AI frameworks.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work in an agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs.
- Apply Design Thinking: Employ IBM's Design Thinking to create solutions that provide a great user experience along with world-class quality, resiliency, performance, security, and stability.
- Work on leading-edge projects using technologies like machine learning, LLM's, and other AI-related areas to drive innovation and solution delivery.
- Ensure Solution Quality: Ensure that solutions meet the required standards for quality, resiliency, performance, security, and stability.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- 5-10 years of industrial experience in working with Unix/Linux based products developed using Python/C++/Golang programming language.
- Experience in software engineering with very good understanding of fundamentals of containers and Kubernetes platform
- Must have good knowledge of virtualization, Linux Operating systems internals and systems programming skills.
- Expertise to Translate Technical specification or customer requirements, Preparing of HLD/LLD and Working closely with Team members in translating the Specifications /design into product deliverables.
- Understanding of AI/ML model deployments, AI lifecycle, Hands on experience on deploying AI/ML models on cloud
- Experience working with Red Hat OpenShift is preferable.
- Experience in developing deployment scripts for Kubernetes based micro-services.
- Good understanding of Enterprise servers, firmware, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
- Proven operational experience in network operations including incident, change and problem management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals.
- Experience in working with global teams/partner labs.
