Software Developer for Compilation & Computation

As a developer at Modelon, you will be part of a highly skilled team of software engineers developing the OPTIMICA Compiler Toolkit. Your role will involve interacting frequently with other branches of Modelon to provide customer support and assist expert users of the tool. Additionally, you will collaborate with a diverse team with a wide range of expertise to build a capable modeling, simulation, and optimization platform. Key Responsibilities: - Develop the OPTIMICA Compiler Toolkit using your expertise in software development - Provide customer support and guidance to expert users of the toolkit - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the modeling and simulation/optimization platform - Contribute to the success of the compiler in an evolving market of advanced industrial users Qualifications Required: - 1-5 years of experience in developing high-performing software - Proficiency in developing compilers - Experience in Java or C++ development - Ability to deliver efficient and reusable code that is easily understandable by others - Strong communication skills, particularly in English - Proven track record of building production-quality software Desired Skills and Experiences: - Familiarity with the LLVM Compiler Infrastructure Project - Knowledge of JastAdd - Experience with the Modelica language - Proficiency in Docker and Dev Containers - Background in JavaScript/Typescript, Python development - Comfortable with agile practices and code reviews - M.E./MTech/Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent Modelon, headquartered in Lund, Sweden, is a global company with offices in Germany, India, Japan, and the United States.
