Role Overview: As a Software Intern at Ciena, you will be working on Ciena's NextGen NMS system, Navigator Network Control Suite (Navigator NCS). Navigator NCS is a domain controller automating lifecycle operations of Ciena's packet and optical networks. You will be part of Agile scrum teams collaborating on features for the management and control of Packet Optical Devices of Ciena's product suite. Your role will involve quick prototyping using newer technologies and open-source platforms in Web and NMS domains, as well as troubleshooting product issues found in the developed features. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate in Agile scrum teams to work on features for the management and control of Packet Optical Devices - Quick prototyping using newer technologies and open-source platforms in Web and NMS domains - Troubleshoot product issues found in the features developed Qualifications Required: - Currently undergoing MCA, M. Tech., or B. Tech. in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, IT, or similar field - Strong analysis, coding, testing, and documentation skills - Knowledge of Object-Oriented Concepts, data structures, algorithms, Operating system concepts, and Networking Concepts - Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, Java/JavaScript, Python, JavaScript/HTML/CSS/jQuery, Scala.
