Software Developer 3 - OCI AI Platform

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in OCI AI Platform, Services & Solutions Org at Oracle, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of AI infrastructure and services within the organization. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and operating scalable services for GPU-based model training, tuning, and inference. Additionally, you will build tools and APIs to enable internal and external users to launch, monitor, and manage ML workloads effortlessly. You will collaborate with product, infrastructure, and ML engineering teams to define and deliver key platform features, optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency of AI infrastructure, and contribute to platform automation, observability, CI/CD pipelines, and operational excellence. Troubleshooting complex issues in distributed systems and mentoring junior engineers will also be part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and operate scalable services for GPU-based model training, tuning, and inference - Build tools and APIs for launching, monitoring, and managing ML workloads - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver key platform features - Optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency of AI infrastructure - Contribute to platform automation, observability, CI/CD pipelines, and operational excellence - Troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems - Mentor junior engineers and participate in design and code reviews Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience in shipping scalable, cloud native distributed systems - Experience in building control plane/data plane solutions for cloud native companies - Proficiency in Go, Java, Python - Experience with Kubernetes controller and operators - Knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols - Experience in production operations and best practices - Effective communication skills for technical ideas - BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications: - MS in Computer Science - Experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving performance issues in complex environments - Deep understanding of Unix-like operating systems - Production experience with Cloud and ML technologies - Experience in Generative AI, LLM, Machine learning Join Oracle, a world leader in cloud solutions, where innovation thrives and inclusivity is encouraged.
