Software Dev Engineer Test I

As a Test Consultant at MetLife located in Pune, India, you will play a crucial role in the development and testing of software solutions within a specific system, platform, or product. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, designing test cases, executing testing processes, documenting test results, tracking defects, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and end-user requirements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders such as the EMEA ART Leader, ART Leadership team, India EMEA Technology AVP, and Business process Owners for EMEA Technology. Your role will involve providing technical expertise in formulating test strategies, developing effective environments and data strategies, evaluating best practices, recommending tools and technologies for testing, and establishing testing infrastructure and frameworks. You will also lead the planning, coordination, development, and execution of test automation and performance scripting. Additionally, you will be responsible for test estimation, test automation, and utilizing relevant tools. To be successful in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Your technical skills should include expertise in QA Testing (Manual, automation) and certifications in SAFe for Teams and Microsoft - Azure Fundamentals. You should possess competencies in collaboration, technical troubleshooting, writing & executing automated tests, code testing, evaluation, and peer review, as well as knowledge of the IT environment, requirements analysis, application & system testing, and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). In addition to your technical skills, you should exhibit excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. You should be able to balance technical innovation with business value delivery and demonstrate business acumen by understanding organizational business requirements and dynamics.
