Project Role : Software Configuration Engineer Project Role Description : Implement the configuration management plan as directed by the Configuration Lead. Assist in the design of software configuration and customization to meet the business process design and application requirements. Must have skills : Windows Scripting Good to have skills : Cloud InfrastructureMinimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary :As a Software Configuration Engineer, you will implement the configuration management plan as directed by the Configuration Lead. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to assist in the design of software configuration and customization, ensuring that the solutions align with business process designs and application requirements. You will engage in discussions to refine processes and contribute to the overall success of the project, while also addressing any challenges that arise during implementation. Roles & Responsibilities:- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on configuration management objectives.- Document configuration processes and maintain accurate records to support future reference and audits.- Maintain & Run Management:Perform regular maintenance activities, including monitoring, patching, upgrades, and configuration changes on Windows Servers [2019, 2022, 2025] . Solution Deployment:Build and manage infrastructure resources both on-premises [physical/virtual] and in the cloud [Azure/GCP] using IaaS, PaaS and other technologies. Customer Support:Deliver exceptional support to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high satisfaction level. Security & Vulnerability Management:Ensure compliance by onboarding all devices to respective security tools and, proactively improve stability and performance. Incident Response:Lead the investigation and response to performance or security issues, including root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Expertise & Development:Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and proactively innovate current approaches and solutions. Focus on automation opportunities.- Collaboration:Work closely with other areas to ensure seamless integration on technologies and processes. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Windows Scripting.- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Cloud Infrastructure.- Strong understanding of configuration management tools and practices.- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues effectively.- Familiarity with software development life cycle and agile methodologies.- Experienced with operating of Windows Server operating systems in Enterprise environment [1000+ servers] - Scripting skills [PowerShell] to foster automation.- High commitment to delivery; adaptability & flexibility; strong sense of self-responsibility & ownership.- Technical skills in following areas are a plus:Azure Entra ID and Active Directory Operations & Design, other Microsoft products such as MS SQL Server, System Center suite, Azure and GCP (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS), - Independent and structured working approach, good coordination skills and ability to work independently as well as part of the team. Additional Information:- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Windows Scripting.- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
