As a Software Architect at Autodesk, you will play a crucial role in the development of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud services for the Fusion Data and Process Management (DPM) architecture team. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the software architecture and system design of highly scalable, distributed, and resilient product capabilities - Partnering closely with product teams and leadership to define the strategic technical roadmap and bring it to fruition - Championing the adoption of industry best practices to elevate development standards within the team and the larger organization - Aligning technical direction with business needs to guide the team in making the right compromises between short-term business opportunities and long-term technical vision - Assisting in hiring and mentoring Engineers to build fast-growing and high-performing teams Minimum qualifications for this role include: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience - 15+ years of experience in leading the design of complex systems and hands-on development in Java, AWS - 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role for a large and distributed organization in designing systems and scaling them to millions of users - Thorough understanding of Distributed Systems concepts, Scalability/Reliability/Security challenges - Demonstration of high levels of ownership and accountability, working closely with engineering teams to consistently deliver - Experience in building multi-tenant SaaS architectures and a deep appreciation for a Platform and API-first mindset - Experience in building out fully automated development workflows, including validation, adherence to best practice guidelines, builds, and deployments About Autodesk: Autodesk is a global leader in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software.
