The Role: As our Virtualization Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our virtual infrastructure. You will work closely with clients and cybersecurity teams to ensure our virtual environments are secure, efficient, and scalable. Responsibilities: - Demonstrate, design, implement, and manage virtual environments using Softdrive, VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or other virtualization technologies. - Perform regular system maintenance including updates, patches, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance. - Optimize the performance of virtual machines and infrastructure to meet client's needs. - Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans for virtualized environments. - Ensure the security of virtual infrastructure by integrating and managing firewalls, antivirus software, and other security measures. - Collaborate with the board of directors on infrastructure projects, providing expertise in virtualization technologies. - Document and demonstrate virtualization processes and configurations to our clients to maintain a clear understanding of the environment. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. - Proven experience as a Virtualization Engineer or similar role. - Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (Softdrive, VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Xen) and experience in managing virtual environments. - Familiarity with storage solutions, networking, and computer hardware. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. - Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional). - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
