You should have at least 15+ years of experience in structural analysis and design of structures based on IS/IRC/IRS/BS Codes. Your responsibilities will include preparing and overseeing structural designs, drawings, estimates, and BOQ. You will be required to prepare structural design calculations for various structural elements and obtain approvals from clients or third parties. Proof checking of structural designs will also be a part of your role. It is essential for you to have knowledge of tools like AutoCAD/Microstation and ensure that drawings are prepared in accordance with CAD standards and internationally recognized standard formats. You will actively contribute to the preparation of Feasibility and Detailed Project Reports, BOQ, Tenders, and Estimations. Additionally, you will liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide optimal solutions to meet their goals. Your job will involve integrating engineering designs from other complex railway skill areas such as signaling, electrification, permanent way, etc. You will plan the phasing from the Preliminary Design stage to the Construction stage, including As-Built drawings. It is important to ensure that designs maximize sustainability outcomes during the design phase and over the whole life of the project. You will be responsible for producing concept and outline design proposals that solve client challenges in the maintenance, renewal, and enhancement of railways. The role will also involve structural inspection and assessment of bridges and other railway structures, along with required strengthening requirements if any. Coordination with Regional Offices in relations of structural design and knowledge of different relevant IEC, EN, RDSO standards and drawing and other statutory requirements is essential. Skills required for this role include proficiency in structural and bridge design software such as LUSAS, MIDAS, STAAD Pro, SAP, Sofistick, etc. The candidate must hold a post-graduate M.E/MTech (Structures) qualification and have hands-on Indian Railway Bridges and Station Building related design engineering experience of more than 5 years. Coordinate with the QC department to ensure the quality of deliverables.,
