As a Production Manager in the Sofa Division at our Hosur facility, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production to ensure quality, efficiency, and innovation on the shop floor. Your role will involve managing daily operations across framing, upholstery, stitching, and assembly while ensuring adherence to quality standards, cost control, and safety protocols. You will lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and skilled floor staff, implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Collaboration with design, procurement, and stores will be essential to ensure timely raw material availability. Maintaining production MIS, TAT, and compliance documentation will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have 10-15 years of experience in furniture/sofa manufacturing, demonstrating strong leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams. Hands-on knowledge of framing, foam, fabric, and finish quality is required, along with familiarity with SAP, MS Office, and production metrics. Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO practices would be advantageous, and a willingness to travel and manage vendor coordination is essential. This position is at the Manager/Functional Head level with a negotiable salary based on experience.
