The School Counselor role in Faridabad involves providing comprehensive support to students of all grade levels in alignment with the CBSE philosophy. The primary focus is on collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a positive and inclusive school environment that facilitates students" well-being, personal growth, and academic success. Responsibilities include: - Offering individual and group counseling to address personal, social, and emotional challenges of students. - Developing and executing social-emotional learning programs and well-being initiatives. - Assisting students in managing stress, anxiety, and mental health concerns. - Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment in accordance with IB Learner Profile attributes. - Supporting students in setting academic and personal goals, enhancing time management, study skills, and learning strategies. - Guiding students in university and career exploration, including college applications, scholarships, and career pathways. - Collaborating with teachers to identify and support students with learning difficulties, behavioral issues, and emotional concerns. - Engaging with parents to discuss students" progress, challenges, and strategies for support. - Conducting workshops and sessions for parents, students, and teachers on mental health, well-being, and life skills. - Ensuring adherence to child protection policies, reporting safeguarding concerns, and raising awareness of student safety and well-being. - Designing and implementing counseling programs based on CBSE philosophy and best practices, maintaining counseling records, tracking student progress, and assessing intervention effectiveness. - Staying updated on best practices in school counseling and mental health support. Qualifications & Requirements: - Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. - Experience as a school counselor, preferably within a school environment. - Knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and crisis intervention strategies. - Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and school leadership. Preferred Skills: - Training in Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or other counseling techniques. - Experience working with multicultural and diverse student populations.,
