Social Studies and Economics Teacher (CBSE - Grade 7 to 12)

Brainloop Initiative, Kadavantra, Kochi

Working Hours:
12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Studies and Economics Teacher to teach students from Grade 7 to 12 following the CBSE syllabus. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that foster critical thinking, awareness of societal and economic concepts, and real-world applications of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Social Studies (History, Geography, Civics) for Grades 7 to 10.
• Teach Economics for Grades 11 and 12.
• Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with CBSE curriculum standards.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including interactive, project-based, and technology-supported learning.
• Prepare students for school assessments and CBSE board examinations.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate student records including attendance, grades, and performance reports.
• Encourage critical thinking, debate, and understanding of social, political, and economic systems.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school management regarding academic progress.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and extracurricular activities when required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Studies, Economics, or related field.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
• Prior teaching experience in CBSE-affiliated institutions is an advantage.
• Excellent command over English (spoken and written) and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Familiarity with CBSE examination patterns and syllabus updates.
