Social Media Manager

What you'll actually be doing

We're an early startup, which means you won't be handed a neat little job description and told to stay in your lane. You'll have ownership of how Wingmann shows up, grows, and gets people to use our product.

Your responsibilities will include:

Social media: Own our Instagram, LinkedIn and X. Plan the content, come up with

ideas, write scripts, create, edit, publish and figure out what works.

Content strategy: Build recurring content formats, experiment with new ideas, spot

trends worth jumping on, and make people actually want to follow us.

Growth & user acquisition: Find creative ways to get people onto Wingmann.

Experiment with organic growth, campaigns, collaborations, and performance marketing.

Marketing & outreach: Find the right communities, creators, partners and opportunities

to get Wingmann in front of the right people.

Offline events & activations: Take things off the internet. Organise events, build

partnerships, come up with unconventional activations and get people talking about

Wingmann.

Analytics & experimentation: Track what's working, what's flopping, and why. Use the

numbers to make better decisions instead of blindly posting and hoping for the best.

A little bit of everything else: We're a startup. If there's a good idea worth pursuing,

you'll probably have a hand in making it happen.

You'd probably be a good fit if...

You spend an unreasonable amount of time thinking about why some content works and

other content doesn't.

You have ideas beyond "let's post a reel about this trending audio."

You can turn a random observation into a great piece of content.

You're comfortable going from brainstorming to writing, shooting, editing, and publishing

without needing five people to make it happen.

You understand that views are nice, but growth, user acquisition and actual business

outcomes matter too.

You can take ownership, figure things out independently, and move without waiting for

someone to tell you every next step, but can work with a team and be open to feedback.
You're happy to experiment, get things wrong, learn and try again.

You can organise an offline event one day and analyse campaign performance the next.

You don't need to be an expert at everything on day one. But you do need to be curious,

resourceful, and willing to get your hands dirty.

What this role is NOT

A job where you just schedule posts and wait for the next brief.

A job where success means posting consistently and calling it a day.

A job where you say,

"That's not my responsibility."
