The role of a Production Environment Administrator at Oracle involves managing the operation of production environments, including systems and databases that support critical business operations. You will be responsible for administering and analyzing multiple production environments, as well as recommending innovative solutions to enhance availability, performance, and supportability. Your deep technical knowledge, coupled with expertise in Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure, will be crucial in resolving complex production environment issues arising from factors like growth, scaling, cloud adoption, and high availability demands. In collaboration with Oracle's technology, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and support of the company's global infrastructure. Specifically, you will be part of the CSS (Customer Success Services) organization's Managed Cloud Services application operations delivery team. This team focuses on providing technical services for customer environment provisioning, software integration, data migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and major product upgrades for Fusion Middleware products. Your role will involve addressing the diverse needs of the team and ensuring efficient service delivery. As a member of the Managed Cloud Services application operations delivery team, you will play a key role in supporting customers with environment provisioning, software integration, and migration tasks. Your expertise in Fusion Middleware products, especially on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Gen-1 & Gen-2, will be essential in developing solutions for customers, establishing architecture standards, and planning technical upgrades. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the design and development of tools and utilities aimed at enhancing application and service availability. This position requires round-the-clock availability to respond to customer requests and incidents, including weekends. You will be responsible for installing, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing production server hardware and software. Your duties will also include providing technical support for complex issues, coordinating support cases, managing storage infrastructure, and ensuring consistent system uptime in a Cloud environment. Collaboration with internal technical resources and third-party vendors will be essential in resolving technical challenges and ensuring seamless operations. To excel in this role, you should possess proficiency in various FMW (Fusion Middleware) skills and technologies, including Platform as a service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), Identity Management Suite, WebLogic Server, automation of cloud offerings, Oracle Middleware components, Linux, and database administration. Strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively, and a commitment to working in shifts, including night shifts and weekends, are also essential requirements. As a highly skilled Senior Oracle DBA with over 10+ years of experience, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our complex Oracle landscape, which includes Oracle 19c, Oracle Exadata, and EBS PROD and non-PROD environments. Your expertise in Oracle EBS administration, DataGuard, and performance optimization will be crucial in ensuring optimal availability, performance, and security. Your key responsibilities will include administering Oracle 19c instances both on-premises and in the cloud, handling tasks such as patching, backups, cloning, and upgrades. You will also be managing and supporting Oracle EBS (R12), WebLogic, SOA Suite (12c), OAM, and ORDS configurations. Additionally, you will be responsible for EBS patching through Rimini Street Support, including clustered deployments, configuring and monitoring Oracle DataGuard for high availability and disaster recovery, and working with Oracle Platinum Support for Exadata patching. In this role, you will also be tasked with maintaining ongoing SOX compliance and enforcing database access controls.
