Role Overview

SOA Developer / Engineer

REST and SOAP are the most common types of APIs.
The candidate should know how to
create, test, and integrate APIs
between systems.
Proficiency in Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Service Bus (OSB) development
Oracle SOA Suite is a platform used to
connect multiple systems
and automate processes.
Oracle Service Bus helps to
route and transform data
between these systems.
Look for candidates whove worked on
SOA 10g, 11g, or 12c versions
and done
integration or migration projects.
Strong skills in XSLT, JavaScript, and CI/CD
XSLT
: Used to
transform XML data
— very common in SOA integrations.
JavaScript
: Used for logic and data manipulation inside integration flows.
CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment)
: Automating code build and deployment — means the candidate knows tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Familiarity with SoapUI or ReadyAPI tools for testing
These are
API testing tools
— the candidate should know how to test REST/SOAP services using them.
Experience using GitHub
Used for
code version control
— recruiters can look for Git/GitHub in the candidate’s resume.
Developer experience with Oracle JDeveloper
JDeveloper is the
