Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Key Responsibilities: 1. System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain IBM z/OS operating systems and associated subsystems (e.g., JES2/JES3, RACF, CICS, DB2, MQ). 2. Performance Tuning and Monitoring. 3. Problem Resolution. 4. Security Management. 5. Disaster Recovery and High Availability 6. Automation and Scripting Skills: Experience: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe systems programming, with expertise in z/OS. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of z/OS components and utilities. Expertise in subsystems like CICS, DB2, MQ, or IMS. Proficiency in storage management (e.g., DFSMS, HSM). Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools (e.g., RMF, SMF). Knowledge of TCP/IP and SNA networking in a mainframe environment. Scripting expertise (e.g., REXX, CLIST). Certifications (Preferred): IBM Certified System Programmer - z/OS. ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
