Job Description

Role Overview: As an SSD Firmware Architect at Micron Technology, you will play a crucial role in defining storage systems for customers by identifying and defining innovative product concepts and SSD FW architectures. You will provide product leadership across all areas, understanding strategic architectural decisions, maximizing reuse of existing architecture, and driving product-wide coordination. Your responsibilities will also include providing guidance to the development team, maintaining strong technical engineering relationships with customers and partners, and staying updated on industry technical trends. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and define innovative product concepts and SSD FW architectures - Provide product leadership across all areas, including strategic architectural decisions - Maximize reuse of existing architecture and minimize specific features where possible - Drive product-wide coordination across all areas and provide feedback on product requirements - Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders on technical architecture and product requirements - Develop new product FW architecture specifications and generate new intellectual property - Evangelize Micron's new products and technologies at industry consortia and technical conferences - Identify key industry technical trends and competitive landscapes Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 10 years of SSD Firmware Architecture, design, product, test, support, system, or applications engineering experience - Systems experience in SSD and/or HDD architecture, design, or analysis - Technical skills including knowledge of NAND flash, solid state drives, storage protocols, NAND interfaces, NAND management, and storage systems - Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Excellent verbal and written communications skills - Highly organized, self-motivated, and disciplined abilities - Ability to work with engineers across multiple disciplines and travel internationally About Micron Technology, Inc.: Micron Technology is a world leader in memory and storage solutions, driving innovation to enrich life for all.
