SMT & Wave Soldering Process Engineer

As a member of the PAI-AIM Solder (India) Pvt. Ltd. team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing solder paste printing processes, which includes stencil design and screen printer setup. Your role will involve monitoring and maintaining reflow profile parameters to ensure optimal soldering quality. Troubleshooting and resolving printing-stage issues, such as solder paste deposit, stencil alignment, and print quality, will also be a key part of your responsibilities. You will oversee wave soldering processes and implement improvements to reduce defects. It will be important for you to implement and utilize quality tools to identify process issues and maintain production standards. Additionally, training production staff on proper process procedures and techniques will be part of your daily tasks. Analyzing process data to identify trends and implementing corrective actions will be crucial to your role. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining process documentation and work instructions. Supporting new product introduction and process qualification activities will be essential, as well as collaborating with production and quality teams to ensure consistent product quality. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 4-5 years of work experience in electronics manufacturing or application support roles. You must possess in-depth knowledge of solder pastes characteristics, behavior, and application methods. Strong expertise in stencil design, screen printing processes, and printer equipment is necessary. A comprehensive understanding of reflow soldering processes and profile optimization is also required. Demonstrated experience with wave soldering processes and related troubleshooting is essential. Proficiency with quality tools and statistical process control methods is a must. You should have a proven ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve process-related issues. A Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is also a requirement for this position.
