The Individual will contribute to the dynamic HW Applications engineering team for end product designs. About The Role The PMIC "“ H/W application Engineer will be responsible for supporting Qualcomm"™s growing portfolio mobile phone platforms. The job involves working closely with partners and customers of Qualcomm to define the specifications of the mobile phone handset products, part selection, system design, design reviews, support while doing system debug, partner deliverables etc. As a member of Qualcomm customer engineering team, the individual will be responsible for successful integration of Qualcomm solution into customer end products in mobile, PC, and consumer electronics markets. Individual will be responsible to work closely with cross function teams in Qualcomm, including design engineering, systems engineering, characterization team, ATE test team, SW team, product marketing, program management and peers in customer engineering organization across multiple regions. Individual will be responsible to create chipset documentation, reference schematics, training material, application notes for worldwide customer support. Individual will be responsible to engage with customer designs, assist customers in feature definition and design reviews, provide in-depth technical responses to customer queries, do troubleshooting of customer designs and provide necessary training to customers. Past expertise in interacting with multiple teams in HW, SW domains, skills in Digital/Baseband and sound technical knowledge of Qualcomm PMICs are desirable. . Preferred Qualifications Sound understanding of LDO/SMPS - Must to have Experience on power management for portable devices will be a plus Strong understanding PCB Signal/power integrity "“ Should be comfortable reviewing schematic/suggest changes for improvement - Experience with Schematic entry will be a plus . Role Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to EV chargers, both remotely and on-site, to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction. Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer support by responding to service requests, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and professionally. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including installation reports, maintenance logs, and service reports. Technical Training: Stay up-to-date with the latest EV charger technology and receive training on new products to enhance technical expertise. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all service activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile ITI Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in field service or a related technical role. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic equipment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering excellent service. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed. Basic knowledge of EV charging systems is a plus.

Role & responsibilities Power Electronics , SMPS Design, Analog & Digital Electronics Selection and integration Critical Power and control components for the Application Hardware pre-compliance testing (Reliability test) & EMI-EMC testing Review specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve design objectives Understanding of classical and modern control theory Circuit simulation tools such as SIMPLIS and equivalent and thermal design Simulation, analysis and verification, of Motor drive systems, and enforcing the technology development process for various technical projects from research through to Design for Manufacturing. Including Reliability Testing and pre-compliance testing. Work experience in core industry in defined field is must Preferred candidate profile Hands on experience in Power Electronics (SMPS Design, Analog & digital electronics) Through knowledge of Test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, logic analyzers, function generators, electronic load banks, power supplies, and power Exposure and hands on experience in different micro controller platform along with the hardware design

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Field Application Engineer will be responsible for Application support in South India territory and will be based out of Bangalore. In this position you will - Provide application and design support based on end application in terms of paper designs / building and testing of boards using Power Integrations products to Automotive customers Regularly visiting Automotive customers independently or with the assigned Sales in charge Provide PI direct support to Key customers defined by Field sales Independent handling of accounts for technical support Update customer with latest production information and support customer with demo boards along with engineering report Drive the design-in activities of PI Automotive products in suitable applications Actively manage projects together with the Sales and Marketing departments to achieve design-in targets Test and analyze competition solution and help sales define PI value and WIN designs Support customer projects in close co-operation with US Application and Europe Feld Application Engineer Contribute design ideas with engineering report for FAE date base Co-ordinate with sales and set priorities for design WIN and fast revenue growth Review weekly or bi-weekly progress of design Establishes design WIN objectives by creating a plan in support of regional objectives Support our distribution partners during FAE trainings or end customer seminars Conduct periodical training to distributor FAE team, workshops / seminars ( In-house & Public ) Travel required 25-33%. Requirements: Should have strong fundamental SMPS knowledge and its various topologies Strong Knowledge and experience in AC/DC and DC/DC SMPS design, testing and analysis Knowledge of Automotive application such as battery charger and motor drive inverter will be added advantage Good knowledge of national and international standards (e.g. IPC, IEC, AECQ100, ISO26262 etc.) is an advantage Should possess knowledge in designing magnetic components including transformers, Common Mode chokes / Inductors etc. Able to debug designs and recommend changes Strong knowledge on design / simulation tools Able to do accurate BOM level analysis Able to build good working relationships with customer, distributors team and colleagues Contribute effectively to Sales strategies Strong communication skill, both verbal and in writing a must Presentation Skill essential Qualification and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in design and development of SMPS Bachelor Degree in Electronic with 2 years of experience
