Role / Responsibilities Maintenance of engine test equipment i.e. Transient Dynamometer, Emission Analyzer, Particulate Measuring Device, Micro Soot Sensor, Particle Counter, Smoke Meter, Opacimeter, Indimaster, Fuel meter, Blow by meter, etc. Proactive troubleshooting of issues for high uptime of test equipment. Interaction with equipment suppliers for for upkeep of critical test equipment. Raising purchase requisitions for critical spare parts of test equipment. Daily monitoring of health of test equipment for maintaining them in good condition. Maintaining inventory of essential spares. Candidate: Understanding of daily health check procedures of critical equipment. Understanding of working of critical test equipment i.e. Transient Dynamometer, Emission Analyzer, PM Device, Micro Soot Sensor, Particle Counter, etc Understanding of Preventive Maintenance of all test equipment. Post processing and Analysis of test data. Utilization monitoring of test cells. Coordination with Proto Assembly team for preparation of engines as per test plan. Doing improvements in tests cells and submitting Kaizens accordingly. Coordination with test agencies i.e. ARAI & ICAT for Type Approval & COP of engines. Key Skills: Understand the engine, CR FIE, sensors, EATS systems, mechanical FI system and mechanical governor working. Understanding of functioning of Test Equipment i.e. Emission Analyzer, Dynamometer, Fuel Meter, Smoke Meter, Blow by meter, Intercooler, etc. Understanding of different test cycles i.e. FTP Test, Emission Test, Governing Test, LOC Test, etc. Understanding of assembly of different parts of the engines & use of INCA Software during engine testing. Required Competencies: Base diesel engine | Testing Cycles know how | different systems for tractor and genset engines DVP, testing related things | Type Approval & COP Process Good networking abilities: quickly establish an efficient network of technical contacts in order to be rapidly efficient.
