Description
You should have a B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science with at least 8 years of relevant experience in PostgreSQL Core DBA role. Your primary responsibility will be to manage PostgreSQL databases effectively. Your mandatory skills should include excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture across various versions (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15), ability to fix issues related to backup and recovery, proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization using tools like pgadmin, pgpool, repmgr, and troubleshooting database upgrades and migrations. You should also be able to install, configure, and troubleshoot replication tools and resolve issues related to Unix, storage, or network problems. Knowledge of VCS Cluster, Grafana, and kibana will be an added advantage. Moreover, you will be required to provide suggestions to application and development teams for better design, design database solutions, advise on database architecture, and collaborate with other infrastructure teams to build consistent systems. Additionally, you should have advanced knowledge of cluster concepts and understand Xtrabackup failure for database backup concepts. You are also expected to be a mentor and team builder, reliable, hardworking, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines. Having an adoption attitude based on the situation is essential. Preferred skills include SME level knowledge of database administration and architecture, database design knowledge, experience in requirement analysis, component design, and resolving design issues. You should also be able to participate in project and application management teams to promote standards and best practices, provide estimates, and plan and manage database activities on deliverables. Expert knowledge in OS, network, and storage concepts is an added advantage.,
