SME I - Actuarial Special Projects

Role Overview: You will be a part of the Actuarial team as an Actuarial SME within the Special Projects team at Chubb India. Your role will involve contributing to, leading, and managing complex projects related to actuarial analyses, modelling, and data analysis. You will need to utilize your extensive knowledge and technical skills to provide strategic oversight and mentor team members. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards, track project progress, and adhere to timelines and budget. - Lead and manage the team in developing and executing complex actuarial analyses, data analysis, and modelling. - Identify and implement modelling improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and accuracy in analysis. - Manage project planning, scheduling, and coordination of work and resources effectively. - Guide the development and implementation of cutting-edge actuarial tools and techniques to optimize processes and procedures. - Review documentation and work performed by junior analysts, provide mentorship, strategic oversight, and guidance. - Collaborate with other teams to develop innovative solutions and obtain necessary support. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with a relevant major - 6 to 10 years of work experience in an actuarial/research role - Significant progress in actuarial exams (qualified/close to qualification) based on experience - Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills - Proficiency in actuarial modelling software and advanced-level programming expertise (R, Python, SQL, Excel, etc.) - Demonstrated project management skills with a successful track record of leading projects from end-to-end - Strategic thinker capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders - Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members Chubb is a world leader in insurance with operations in 54 countries and territories.
