SMC Capitals is looking to hire full-time Investment Banking Associates in the M&A and Fundraising. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Investment Banking Associate in the M&A and PE advisory at SMC Capitals in Mumbai. The role involves performing financial modeling, finance analysis, valuation, and other analytical tasks to support M&A and Fundraising transactions. The Investment Banking Associate will work closely with senior team members to originate and execute the deals Responsible for the preparation of pitch decks, investor presentations, financial modeling, and valuation Day-to-day tasks will involve conducting financial analysis, preparing investment proposals, performing market research, and assisting with deal origination Work closely with the Investment Banking team, clients, and external stakeholders to support various financial transactions and advisory services. Qualifications Financial Modeling and Valuation skills Strong Analytical Skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA is a plus Experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related fields is preferred

Job Description • Perform financial analysis, due diligence, research, modelling and documentation of live transactions • Preparing collaterals and review of materials including investment memoranda, models, and pitchbooks • Part of pitch making team to prospective clients- work on any research reports, weekly updates, newsletters etc • Capability to managing or Lead in the entire deal cycle e.g. origination, pitching, execution, negotiation etc • Manage project timelines and quality of deliverables in a manner to ensure high client satisfaction • Maintain database for assigned sectors • Responsible for networking and Independent client engagement • Sectorial scoping and outreach to companies (cold calling, attending external events)- Generating new leads and developing relationships with new and existing clients. • Working closely with the Translink Network on potentials cross border M&A opportunities • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and legal issues in the financial industry. • Affinity for current events, critical issues, and relevant news. • Mentor / educate and develop other junior professionals to cultivate their skill sets, technical abilities, investment acumen and firm contributions.
