Machine knowledge on Extrusion process and Printing Technology Collaborating with team members to optimize production processes. Enable the achievement of production targets through effective production planning & control Drive on-time delivery w.r.t timelines agreed upon with the Sales team Responsible for machine planning for the plant operations Ensure effective utilization of the machines Responsible for manpower planning - ensuring optimum availability of contract manpower and efficient allocation of on roll manpower Responsible for authorization of vendors for sub contracted work Monitor production efficiency and submit rejection reports to management Responsible for handling customer complaints due to delayed delivery from a production standpoint, to offer solutions Plan and control stocks by forecasting incoming production and liaising with Sales team for early dispatches Responsible for MIS - tracking data and publishing dashboards Role & responsibilities Technical Skills : Proficiency with specific packaging machinery Knowledge of different packaging materials (e.g., film types, laminates, pouches, Mono layer & Multi-layer, VCI packaging , Protective Packaging) Understanding of quality control procedures and standards. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced Place weighed materials in mixing machines Unload mixture into a container or conveyor for further processing Set up and operate calendar machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films of specified thickness Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die Change dies on extruding machines according to production line change Prepare and change molds and adjust equipment for production line change Safely operate a three-layer and/or mono-layer blown film extrusion system Make extruder adjustments according to already established working methods to maximize productivity Make order changes Ensure the quality of the finished product while following all health and safety rules Perform continuous quality checks throughout production runs Follow a 'clean as you go' policy, keeping all areas tidy on site to ensure compliance with BRC food safety standards Monitor machine performance, maintain output, quality, and waste targets while keeping downtime to a minimum Must have single-handedly operated machines, specifically mono-layer and 3-layer blown film extrusion machines Preferred: Worked on W&H 3-layer and 5-layer blown film lines (Optimex, Varex) Worked on Reifenhauser single/monolayer or triple-layer blown film line Requirements Requirements: Education : Completion of secondary school is required. Diploma in plastics technology is a strong asset. Experience : At least 7 years of experience in the blown extrusion industry or co-extrusion is required. Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities : Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, standing for extended periods, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal Suitability : Organized, effective interpersonal skills, team player, excellent oral and written communication, initiative, accurate, judgment, ability to multitask and work autonomously. Weight Handling : Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Benefits Salary: $29.00 hourly, 36 48 Hours per week. Benefits: Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. Important Information: Flexibility in schedule is required. Rotating continental 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM OR from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. During the first 6-week period, the worker will work an average of 42 hours per week.
