As a Site Reliability Engineer at Setu, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between product engineering and infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include designing observability, operations, automation, ensuring smooth delivery, SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs, as well as ensuring security compliance. Your efforts will contribute to creating a deterministic environment for developers to deliver reliable products seamlessly, thus enhancing the organization's overall quality of output and reducing time to market. At Setu, your responsibilities as an SRE will involve creating, building, and maintaining the smooth operation of infrastructure. This will encompass various roles: - Architect: Design on-call policies, define SLAs, SLIs, and achieve SLOs, and manage chaos-inducing systems. - Build: Automate operational tasks, develop Setu's observability stack, and implement tools for automatic provisioning of services, infrastructure as software, CI/CD pipelines, etc. - Respond: Be on rotational on-call duty, and promptly respond to incidents, alerts, and infrastructure support requests. - Maintain: Implement an early warning system for maintenance tasks such as upgrades and migrations. - Plan: Develop advanced monitoring and alerting systems, predict capacity needs, plan new service rollouts, and optimize resource consumption for development teams.
