Job summary We are looking for a qualified individual to ensure the optimal functioning of critical systems like HT (High Tension) yard, generators, transformers, and uninterrupted power systems, conducting preventive maintenance, addressing breakdowns promptly, and supervising projects. Roles & Responsibilities Involving in Plant engineering activity related to Electrical. Performing activities as per project plan and ensuring the timely completion. Preparing and updating SLD, Electrical panel of equipment’s, Earthing layout’s, lighting arrester drawing. Qualification Educational qualification : A Bachelor’s in Engineering Minimum work experience: 4 to 8 years of experience in Projects and Electrical Maintenance Skills & attributes: Technical Skills • Proficiency in the operations and maintenance of electrical systems. • Expertise in overseeing infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of state electricity board requirements. • Experience in navigating audits and implementing necessary corrective measures, with a focus on ensuring compliance to safety standards and best practices. Purpose & Scope of Position The Project Engineer (PE) will be part of an engineering stream providing engineering services to large and small projects. The PE provides support to the Project Manager (PM) and Engineering Manager (EM) and is responsible for supervising a team of working engineer and designers. Purpose & Scope of Position The Senior Project Manager manages all aspects of the development and implementation of large, multifaceted projects and takes projects from original concept through to final implementation under general direction of either a Program Manager or in some cases a Project Director. Senior Project Manager leads and directs high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. She/He is responsible for taking the projects from original concept through final implementation. Purpose & Scope of Position The Construction Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the project works contractors and maintaining the project performance goals. He coordinates work efforts and ensures activities are sequenced in accordance with the project schedule. A construction engineer must be a competent person in the construction business so that he accurately evaluates the methods and performance in all respects of the particular scope elements of the project for which he is accountable. Experience • Minimum 5 – 10 years of onsite experience on major projects under any sector – Infrastructure, Real Estate, Power, Steel or Chemical • Involvement in at least 2 significant major project similar in size and scope as delivered by TCE Qualification • Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline • Post graduate degree/diploma in construction management (preferable) Key Responsibilities 1. Monitors overall job site health, safety and environment performance and verifies that contractors are protecting their workers at the job site. 2. Responsible for construction supervision and contract administration including supervision of contractors and their subcontractors for assigned portions of the project. 3. Assists in the coordination of the design deliverables to support continuous and efficient construction. 4. Job site point of contact for all contractors in his assigned area of the project. 5. Plans and chairs project safety meetings, assists with incident investigations and reporting, and participates in TCE safety programs and initiatives. 6. Communicates the identification, management and resolution of deficiencies and non-conformance to the Construction Manager. 7. Assists with construction estimating, scheduling, reporting, cost control, measurement verification and invoice certification for all work being performed by the contractor in his assigned area of the project. 8. To lead complete Bill Certification process, Measurement of Quantities, resolution of extra scope for assigned construction area or structure or domain or discipline. Enforce Change Management and Request for Information (RFI) management process 9. During absence of the Construction Manager, act as administrative spokesperson. 10. Assist with the development and review of construction related information for the purpose of proposals and other related business improvement activities. 11. Participate in and provide construction input for project constructability plans. 12. To provide inputs for daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, track contractor’s asking rates for major construction activities, to workout catch up plans suit to site conditions 13. Assist the Construction Manager to address site issues and developorimplement a remedy. 14. Job Accountabilities: Working out scope estimation from the available drawings and data’s from engineering BMTO or Initial cost estimation and prepare SOQ for raising service PR. Single point responsibility for Site related activities. Execution of MOC construction job as per the EPC schedule. Preparation of monthly / weekly plans with the available material, manpower and resources. Ensure work procedures being followed. Ensure the Job Work safety at site in line to site specific safety procedures. Must be well aware of Safe Work Permit Procedure as well as job and plant specific hazards. Should be able to carry out general as well as specific Risk Assessment. Estimate P&M requirement and coordinate with P&M department for timely availability at site. Ensure the Job Work safety at site in line to site specific safety procedures. Ensure mobilization of required manpower by contractor and inform Construction Manager in case of shortage for follow up. Ensure the optimum utilization of P&M and Free Issue Materials (FIMs). Ensure Issue of MIN of required materials for execution of job as per set targets. Timely release of weekly/monthly material plan. Workout the Field and Shop spool fabrication requirement of piping Jobs constructing constructability, ease of execution and safety. Workout the structure shop fabrication and field erection sequence considering minimum hot work at site. Establish the proper working channel between workshop pre fabrication and Field execution of the job as per the Job priority. Loop file Mechanical clearance & Handover. Certification of RA bills. Ensure compliance of ITP’s required for various stages of piping/structure fabrication job completion. Co-ordinate with Project Planner for regular communication of accurate site progress and holds if any. Co-ordinate with other stake holders like O&M, Civil, Instrumentation, Inspection and electrical for site construction activities. Timely raise the SERs in consultation with Lead and obtain any waivers from concern departments as per SER procedure. Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills) Construction management for Brown field projects. Knowledge in various stages of construction execution process. Ability to plan construction resources as per project execution plan. Through Knowledge of Engineering drawings and specification of the job being executed. Knowledge in piping codes such as ASME 31.3 and API. Knowledge of Insulation and Blasting & Painting. Well aware for Construction manpower productivity norms. Ability to handle 2-3 medium scale project construction simultaneously. Well aware for the Plant specific hazards and handle the Engineers and Contract manpower accordingly. Basic knowledge of the metallurgy of the different types of materials used in process industry and their limitations. Basic knowledge in reading of P&ID, Isometrics and site construction related documents. Knowledge in UG piping procedures and activities like external / internal coatings, CP, trenching, sand bedding etc. Well aware of Rigging plans and lifting schemes. Ability make lifting plans.
