Assist ship and shore staff in the implementation all Environmental Regulations. Monitor upcoming new regulations and initiate MOC for implementation. Monitor vessel compliance to environmental regulations and VECP. Address EMS related queries from ship and shore management. Send Fleet circulars and Managers instructions to vessels. Advise on amendments and revisions on EMS manual. Review of EMS records received from ships and advises corrections as required. Carry out EMS internal audit onboard ships and follow up for effective CA. Monitor PSC, FSI, SIRE and other inspection reports from vessels and suggest Suitable corrective actions. Monitor KPIs for the department Initiate EMS multilevel training for ship and shorestaff incoordination with trainingcenter Coordinate and supply the VECP gear to the vessel. Conduct monthly verification of seal log, MAR POL report, ORB entries. Conduct Quarterly review environmental data of the fleet. Review the current energy management onboard and advice company on new technology or procedures to manage the Energy more efficiently. Pre-joining briefing of senior officersregarding EMS.

You will lead practical training exercises and facilitate case study discussions to enhance the learning experience. Additionally, your role will involve the development and refinement of training content to ensure alignment with international regulations, as well as providing mentorship and career guidance to maritime trainees. Collaboration with the ISF team will be essential to enhance curriculum design and deliver industry-relevant training that meets the evolving needs of the maritime sector. Your qualifications as a Master Mariner with a Master COC are mandatory for this role, along with prior experience in SIRE, RightShip inspections, and sailing on tankers. While prior experience in maritime training or mentoring is considered an advantage, proficiency in Microsoft Office and AI tools is also required. Being based in Mumbai or willing to relocate will be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position. Preferred skills for this role include strong public speaking and training delivery capabilities, along with familiarity with e-learning tools and digital LMS training platforms.
