Overview: Join Fastenal's Enterprise Search & Analytics team to build and maintain Elasticsearch-based systems that power fast, relevant search and analytics across customer, product, and transaction data. Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize search and analytics solutions using Elasticsearch. Write clean, scalable code and participate in peer reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-driven features. Support system upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes. Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards. Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with Elasticsearch and cloud platforms. Proficient in SQL, REST APIs, and backend languages (Java, Python, PHP). Knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, and test-driven development. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to real-time data ingestion (Kafka, Spark/Databricks). Experience with NLP, AI/ML, or search recommendation systems. Understanding of bulk indexing, schema design, and relevance tuning.
