Simulation Engineer 1D System Simulation

We are looking for a motivated and experienced 1D simulation engineer to support the execution of system performance and thermal management tasks from all KION global R&D locations. As a simulation engineer, you will be responsible for the on-time execution of performance tasks according to defined quality standards and tools. Your role will involve supporting the team of calculation & simulation engineers by conducting simulation tasks for various truck families and components. Coordination with internal customers in Europe, aligning on priorities and due dates, and maintaining continuous reporting are key aspects of your responsibilities. Establishing a global network with internal customers is also crucial. Qualifications: - University master's degree with a technical focus, preferably in mechanical engineering with CFD and thermal engineering as part of the curriculum. - Knowledge in engineering principles, theory, practice, and basic product knowledge. - Industrial working experience of 0-2 years; experience in off-road vehicles projects is an advantage. - Competence and experience in simulation topics, including 1D-Simulation & CFD analysis. - Familiarity with simulation tools such as Simcenter (1D/3D) for dynamic system modeling and thermal management. Additional tool knowledge is a plus. - Experience with MS Windows and MS Office packages. - Strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. - Willingness to travel within Europe as needed to enhance collaboration and knowledge. - Proficiency in English is essential; proficiency in German is a bonus.,
