Scala Developer Exp: 3 - 5 Yrs Location: Coimbatore Mode of Work: Work from Office Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Scala. Build scalable, resilient, and high-performance APIs and microservices. Work with functional programming paradigms to write clean, testable, and maintainable code. Develop and optimize data processing pipelines using frameworks like Akka, Spark, or Kafka Streams. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to deliver business critical features. Write unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests to ensure software quality. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices. Troubleshoot and optimize application performance in production. Required Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience in Scala development. Strong understanding of functional programming principles. Experience with Scala frameworks such as Akka, Play, or Cats. Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and microservice architecture. Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.). Familiarity with message queues and streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Experience with unit testing and TDD/BDD practices in Scala (ScalaTest, Specs2). Strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and distributed systems. Good knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and build tools (sbt).
