Role & responsibilities Develop and customize a Medplum-based EMR (Node.js + React/Next.js + TypeScript). Integrate our existing patient-facing scheduler with EMR encounters and clinician workflows. Design and implement NABIDH-compliant modules: FHIR R4 resources, consent management, audit logs, UAE data residency. Develop a direct Teleplan billing engine for British Columbia MSP: real-time PHN eligibility, claim submission, reconciliation, and rejection handling. Architect multi-region AWS cloud infrastructure (UAE first, then Canada and United States). Implement HIPAA-grade safeguards: RBAC, encryption, immutable audit logging. Build modular billing adapters (Teleplan now, US payers later). Deploy infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions/Jenkins). Collaborate as part of a dedicated project team, with the opportunity to grow into a long-term role as the company scales. Preferred candidate profile Proven experience (3+ years) in full-stack development: Node.js, React/Next.js, TypeScript. Cloud/DevOps expertise: Hands-on AWS production experience. CI/CD & Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions/Jenkins. Database: PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB. Healthcare Interoperability: Strong understanding of FHIR/HL7 standards. Compliance: Familiarity with NABIDH, HIPAA, or GDPR-style frameworks. Billing Systems: Experience building claims engines or insurer integrations. Ability to implement from technical specs (e.g., Teleplan vendor kit, EDI formats, sFTP/API integration). Security: Encryption, access control, logging, and auditability. Nice to Have Experience with Medplum or other FHIR servers. Prior work in digital health / EMR / telemedicine projects. Exposure to multi-region deployments (UAE, Canada, United States). Startup or early-stage product build experience. Why Join This Project Work on a greenfield EMR build with global compliance scope. Competitive USD compensation. Opportunity to transition into a long-term full-time role as the company grows internationally. Collaborate directly with clinicians and operations, ensuring your code impacts real patients.
